This week we have achieved both level 1 and level 2 bikeability awards through taking part in bikeability training with Lincolnshire County Council. We really enjoyed taking our bikes out into the village and onto the roads surrounding school.
World Book Day - 2017
On World Book Day we dressed up as some of our favourite book characters and we studied the brilliantly funny book 'The Cat in the Hat' by Dr Seuss. We experimented with Word Play and rhyme.
Two of our children created an audio book of 'The Cat in the Hat' too and this can be listened to by clicking the link below.
This is our class in our World Book Day costumes:
The Cat in the Hat read as an audio book
[Will play 'audio-book-the-cat-in-the-hat-by-class-3.mp3']
Two children in class three have created an audio book version of 'The Cat in the Hat' - listen to this by clicking on this link.
Mrs Sullivan, one of our Teaching Assistants at school, taught us for the afternoon all about how to use braille and tactile resources. We had fun and enjoyed making our own class braille book, including our own names in braille too.
Class 3 enjoyed a trip to the Compton Verney Gallery in Warwickshire, so that we could visit the Ancient China exhibit for our Shang Dynasty topic. We visited the gallery, held some actual Shang Dynasty artefacts and made our own vessels using clay.
