2014 - 2015

At Holbeach Bank Primary School we have two Junior Road Safety Officer's who help to keep all of our children safe by ensuring that they understand road safety and how to travel to and from school in a safe manner.

This year our Junior Road Safety Officers are Hannah and Blake.

The Junior Road Safety Officers have led assemblies and organised initiatives including competitions for the other children to take part in.  In October 2014, the JRSO's launched a competition for the whole school based on the theme 'Be Bright, Be Seen!' where KS1 had to design and decorate a bright person and KS2 had to create a safety poster promoting the competition title.

The winners of the competition were: Finley and Millie.

The runners up of the compeition were: Grace and Bradley.

Each of the 28 entries were presented with a certificate.

The JRSO's led a fantastic assembly on Thursday 23rd October around the theme of 'Be Bright, Be Seen for Halloween'.  They gave out some key messages to teh whole school and there are some images below of this assembly.

2013 - 2014

In 2013 - 2014 are JRSO's were Ben and Porsha and they led assemblies and organised initiatives including competitions for the other children to take part in.

They encouraged children to walk to school as part of our focus on Healthy living. The Junior Road Safety Officers took check of who was walking to school and rewarded these children with daily stamps on WOW cards (if they are in Key Stage 2) or Dinosaur cards (if they are in Reception or Key Stage 1). The children really enjoyed taking part!

COMPETITION WIN

In March 2014 we took part in a Lincolnshire cycle to school initiative and competition and finished in 1st place as a result of all of the children at Holbeach Bank Primary School getting involved and riding their bikes to school. As a result of winning this competition we recieved a certificate and trophy as well as some new bike storage, worth over £1200.00. Check these out in the photos below.
